Il nome Renzetti si affaccia per la prima volta nell'anno 1909, quando il capostipite Eugenio, dopo anni di apprendistato presso le più importanti botteghe orafe, decide di aprire una propria attività. La sua specializzazione è la creazione di gioielli e accessori uomo-donna in oro e argento che, abbinati all'incisione Guillochè, creano oggetti unici. Di scuola fiorentina, dopo la crisi avvenuta a seguito della Prima Guerra Mondiale, trasferisce bottega e famiglia a Milano, lavorando sia per sè che per conto terzi e avviando al proprio lavoro i figli. Tra loro si distingue Mario che, portato per la meccanica di precisione, si specializza principalmente nell'arte dell'incisione Guillochè. Mario diventa famoso già alla fine degli anni '30 per la sua abilità nell'incidere, oltre a gioielli e bracciali per orologi, quei complementi moda in gran voga in quei periodo : trousses, porta sigarette, porta cipria e servizi da toilette. Ma veniamo ai giorni nostri : Riccardo Renzetti, figlio di Mario, prosegue con cura e amore il mestiere trasmessogli dal padre, adoperandosi intensamente per trovare disegni sempre nuovi e motivi decorativi che possano soddisfare e adattarsi alle esigenze della moderna orologeria e oreficeria. Il tutto con gli stessi macchinari manuali usati tre secoli fa. Renzetti's name appeared for the first time in 1909, when Eugenio, the founder of the family, after a long apprenticeship in the most famous goldsmith shops, decided to estabilish his own activity. Eugenio's specialization was gold and silver jewels cr eation for man and woman that, linked together with Guillochè engraving, made them unique objects. Belonged to the old Florentine school, after the First World War crisis, he removed shop and family to Milan and he started his sons to the trade, working for himself and on behalf of third party. Between them was Mario, who destingueshed himself expecially by skill in the art of Guillochè; Mario Renzetti became famous at the end of 30s for his ability to engrave-besides jewels and watch straps-those accessories considering fashionable over the 30s and the 40s, such as trousses, cigarette-cases, powder-compacts and toilette sets. But let's talk about nowadays : at present, Riccardo Renzetti - Mario's son - continues with care and love the work handed down from his father, engaging himself to find always new patterns and decorative motifs that could satisfy the needs of the modern watchmaking and goldsmithery fields. And he succeeds in doing all this, using the same manual machineries of the good old days!
